It's Christmas time!

Christmas was special because:

  1. I bought my brother a jar of sweets from marks and spencer, a cookbook for my mum, and cut a silohouette of my dad for my dad.
  2. Had a good talk with Jude at Gabriel's chalet. We talked about love, life and faith. Is love like loving the girl that you had a crush on since young? The kind that makes you absent minded, bump into things, and give you a silly grin all day? Or is it of a more practical bent? Where do we go with our lives from here? Who is God to you and me?
  3. Wrote a shadow poem for my first time with Jude.
  4. Saw a shooting star, as well as two satellite crossing the sky in the morning at the chalet with Jude.
  5. Had Christmas dinner on Monday with Nigel, Ivan, Junie, Jackie, Nic Teo, Shane, Andrea and Loretta. Was a pleasant evening. Nigel made "mascarated peaches", peaches and apricots soaked in old port with thickened cream. Also had potato salad, roast chicken, beef rendang, pacific clam and mushroom soup, fried vegetables and ayam buakeluak. Ivan and Nigel missed all the humour in thumbwars and the monthy python sketches, and watching the CJ christmas play again brought back memories. Nice evening!
  6. Had lunch with Brother Michael Broughton for the first time! It was in the brother's quaters at SJI and we had a chat in his office after that. Ended up talking about gays and such. The busy man manages to keep his sanity..!
