Cheap Jap food in Toa Payoh

Well friends, a recommendation is in order.

When this shop closed last year, me and Loretta were very sad, but it's reopened bigger and better than before! Prices are still cheap and the food is good. It's called Sumo Bento and its above the Macdonalds opposite of Risen Christ church in Toa Payoh.

Its having a promotion now and I must say that a $10 buffet is hard to come by. Everything I ordered was excellent except the croquette. Don't miss it. Its worth a trip to Toa Payoh for dinner. Even if the promotion's over, go for its Japanese Bentos. They're value for money. Give it a try.

See for yourself

This offer was over in the blink of an eye. They openly admitted that they were losing too much money on the buffet and they had to stop it! Haha..
The food's cheap and alright, so its still worth going for a cheap meal. My biggest grouse is the lousy rice, but apparently you can pay extra for 'sushi rice', so if you're picky about your japanese rice as I am, go for it!
