What's your lighthouse?

My cousin related this to me today. Steven Corvey, in "7 habits", asks us to imagine that we were dead and our family and friends were shuffling past our coffin. What do I want them to be thinking and saying about me? That's the person that I want to be. That's my vision of myself, my lighthouse that would light the way for my decisions in the present.

At the moment, when I run this thought experiment, I come up with a blank. The reason being that I have two things that I do not want to become. I don't wish to be like my dad, and I don't wish to be a holy man. That seems to exhaust everything that I want to be. Perhaps there is something in between.. I don't know. I'll have to find it.
