So young people in Singapore: you should repay your country for all it has done for you too!
Why, thanks to the government and its great education system, you’re now amongst the most creative people in the world, in an economy which is booming, where people are happy to stay instead of emigrating in droves, where you can speak freely, where you know your vote counts, where you can live without fear of terrorism, where there is no racial or social inequality, where you can live without fear of arbitrary detention or persecution by the authorities, where you can look forward to a much better life than your parents! You should be grateful for all these things Singapore has given you.
