My trip last week to the Singapore Zoo was quite marvelous. I have not been there in many years, and what surprised me was the way many animals were within touching distance.
When we arrived, a group of strange monkeys that we've never seen before were right on the walkway bannisters eating fruit. The place I loved most was the rainforest exhibit where lemurs, birds, butterflies and mousedeer were running loose and jumped right across your path. In fact, the mousedeer were so tame that I spent a good 10 minutes giving the male a good scratch!
