Just watched The Last Emperor again last night. Amazing. Just absolutely incredible what China's history over the last hundred years was like. It's an extremely poignant show - imagine an emperor, reduced to a common man under Mao. In light of my few days in Beijing, and seeing the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square... wow..
