(Dude, this one's for you too)
Struck up a conversation today with my colleague. Turns out he's a Protestant that had stopped going to church for a few years but has since returned.
He relates that he had met a friend who asked him where faith really comes from, and the answer was prayer. The friend asked if he remembered the times where in prayer, things just seemed better and in fact turned out better.
I too thought about it and realised that there were moments in the past where I had felt close to God and times where I had indeed been blessed. Was it really coincidence? A product of my imagination? A nice story that I had believed in? When I think really hard about it, it actually is quite hard to say that it really is just that.
Do you remember your own moments of prayer too? What has become of that faith that felt so right and so good? Has it completely disappeared? Perhaps if you try praying just a little, you might discover that something is still there after all.
