Are you willing to run for an MRT seat?

Reading the newspaper today reminded me of one incident.

Have you ever taken the MRT and seen how middle aged ladies or teenagers like to rush in the moment the doors open to grab the available seats before anyone else?

There was this time I boarded a train and was on my way to an available seat. I was already in the process of taking off my bag to sit down when in the corner of my eye I saw a group of malay teenagers running to try to jump into the seat before me. In anger , I threw the the Newpaper I was holding onto the seat. I rightly felt that the seat was mine, and I didn't want to lose my dignity and jump into the seat ahead of them. They all got a shock and I just sat down on the seat that I had 'choped'.

I was riled because this habit of running to grab a seat is just silly. Does this mean that anyone who wants a seat has to jostle and grab a seat? While people who are patient and polite simply have to give way to others? Not in my books. Which is why as the group of teens sat opposite me laughing at the whole incident (there were other available seats), and mimicing my newspaper throwing act, I was laughing along with them as well.

And, you're thinking alot about Dilli Deli and tht Pain phrase.. repeated them! hehe

Hey, I met some ICM hons friends, and I was surprised to hear that they're at Citibank, as one of those call centre ppl. Not at all what I tot hons grads would be doing. Dun worry, take your time, experience life, and your questions will be answered in time.

Unless your calling in life IS to be a professional bum, I doubt it, yours ain't big enuff..

Thanks for the encouragement, dude!

It actually crossed my mind that I might want to give what you're doing a try.

As for repeating those phrases, oh well. I'm not in pain actually. I'm quite happy. Ha, but the meaning of my life still eludes me.

I still can be reached at my arts email. Cheers!

Its very much high-risk arena.. and it would be best if you had a mentor or if u were to join a company first. That way, u get to learn the ropes without incurring personal losses. Slowly la.. u could look at brokerages or clearinghouses. Philip Securities always seem to be hiring.
