4D puzzles

When I was in Manila, I lusted over a set toys I saw in the malls. They were beautifully detailed models that break apart into many pieces and can be reassembled like a jigsaw puzzle. I decided that the 3 most beautiful were the ones of the Emerald Tree Boa and the Sea Turtle. I had also always wanted an anatomical human skeleton model. Each cost 300 pesos (S$10) and I agonised over which one to get as I had really limited cash left. Eventually, I decided that if it was only one, I would get the sea turtle one. At that point however, it came down to either getting the model, or buying a Christmas gift for people I cared about, and not without pain, I did not buy the sea turtle in the end.

So imagine my surprise at finding the precise sets I wanted at Toy's R Us (which I so strangely walk into every now and again) on a buy-two-get-one-free offer. While it cost me a significant $30, it was money happily spent because I had wanted these since Manila, and also as a celebration of my getting a new job. They are beautiful, no?
