2006

Looking back at 2005:

Resolutions for 2005:
1. That I will continue to grow in faith, and to one day perhaps know this personal God.
2. To discover and develop a career that will be meaningful and rewarding, and to grow to become a successful individual through that.
3. To grow deeper in love and friendship with the one true love that I know, my best friend and darling Loretta.
4. To seek and understand the world again with new eyes.
To improve in my snooker. A 40+
break is not impossible and would be a dream come true.

Looking back on
2004, I see:
1. My personal failures at completing my thesis, and Edmond and
Loretta helping me through it
2. The loss and desolation of my faith.
3.
The continued friendship of Ivan, Nigel, Jude, Bernard, Jackie, Nicholas,
Jacqueline, Chris, Edmond. Thank you all.
4. The struggle of finding a
career and a meaning in life.
5. The leaving of NUS and CSS behind.
6.
The strain on our long-term relationship together, Loretta and I.
7. The
talk with my Dad on Tioman, and the news from Indonesia.
8. My brother
growing even taller and a growth in our sibling relationship.
9. Anne-anne’s
visit to the vet.
10. Going to Verbum Dei for the first time.

My God. 2006 looks to be the scariest year of my life. I'm stressed in my new temp job, about the future and about the year. It's a blank. I don't know for sure what's going to happen, and I'm scared.

Faith: Still continuing to develop, with some things that have happened over the past year. Falling out with Marianne. Meeting Jared and sharing with Adrian online. Reading more about evolution. Experiencing Engage Encounter, and the moment of Joy. A sullen birthday and Christmas.

Career: Still a limbo. I feel I've been called to this path, but I'm so insecure about it. I want to jump in, but yet I'm saying: "I'm scared".

Loretta: EE. With each hurdle, more still remain. We've said that 2005 will be the crucial year. We made it through. But are we through yet?

Snooker: A brief glimmer, but failed miserably on this one.

Anne-anne: So long. Miss you.

Family: So much to say. So unclear what to do.

2006. Please be kind.
