Another lousy watercolour. Ok, if it doesn't look all that bad, I have a confession to make. It's not like I painted the whole thing from scratch. Actually, it was done by copying a painting and filling in a pre-drawn sketch. It's from a calendar Loretta and I bought called "watercolor lesson-a-day". If gives you a sketch to fill in and the orginal to copy from. The original:
And the calendar:
Color your day -- Every day!Award-winning artist, instructor, and lecturer Dennis R. Pendleton packs a lesson plan into this Calendar that will inspire your eyes, mind, and spirit. Pendleton provides a pencil sketch on each weekday accompanied by a watercolor technique tip and insight into how the Masters painted. The weekends feature a compilation of Pendleton's beautiful watercolor renderings of each weekday sketch, providing both a goal and inspiration for your own works. The styles of artwork vary widely from impressionistic to contemporary to primitive, from landscape to cityscape to abstract.
