University - a tiny reflection

I was treated to a graduation dinner last night by L and I was compelled to think about past 4 years in NUS.

I realise that I haven't grown as much as I would have liked in terms of academics, work discipline and life experience. In fact, I felt like some kind of a failure.

Of course, I've grown in many other ways too and have had many experiences, good and bad. Most notably, I think I've become a better human being by relearning some important stuff about relationships, family and friends.

What L had to say was that I should learn to live with failing and I think that's right. Allow myself a little self-pity and move on. We never succeed with everything, just move on.

Well, move on!

I don't think I've met REAL failure yet.. :) I'm thankful that I still have friends that believe in me, as do you! And I think you're right, it's better to fail now than when we're much older. Must remember to never become too proud such that failure becomes unacceptable.
